Creative Growth Lead

Help tell the story of focus in the age of infinite scroll.

The internet got very good at stealing human attention. For more than a decade, Freedom has helped millions of people reclaim their attention by blocking the distracting apps and websites that get in the way of the work, rest, and lives they actually want.

Modern technology has created a real problem: infinite scroll, constant notifications, algorithmic feeds, ambient distraction, information overload. People want to focus again. They want to think clearly, do meaningful work, sleep better, and feel more in control of their lives instead of controlled by their phones.

We are looking for someone to help tell that story.

The role

We are hiring a Creative Growth Lead to shape and amplify Freedom’s voice across platforms, channels, and culture.

This is not a traditional content marketing role. We are looking for someone with taste. Someone who understands internet culture, storytelling, distribution, and what actually resonates with people.

You should:

  • Understand short-form storytelling
  • Know what feels real versus performative
  • Care deeply about craft and quality
  • Understand experimentation, distribution, and how ideas spread online
  • Be genuinely passionate about Freedom’s mission

What you’ll do

  • Develop and evolve Freedom’s creative voice
  • Create high-signal content across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and Freedom’s owned channels (blog, email, app)
  • Identify repeatable creative formats that drive engagement and installs
  • Partner with creators, designers, filmmakers, and users
  • Work closely with product and lifecycle marketing teams
  • Experiment constantly with messaging, hooks, formats, and distribution
  • Help Freedom be a culturally relevant brand in the focus and productivity space

What we’re looking for

We care far more about originality, taste, judgment, curiosity, storytelling ability, and a real understanding of internet culture than we do about traditional marketing credentials.

Show us your work. Portfolio, social accounts, campaigns, videos, writing, experiments. Anything that helps us understand how you think and what you make.

Location and working style

This is a remote role. We can currently hire:

  • W-2 employees in New York or North Carolina
  • Contractors in EST–CET time zones

We ask that candidates have at least four hours of overlap with US Eastern Time working hours.
